7th Graders Give Back

For a science project, my group and I went to OPCC homeless shelter. Our experience there was heartwarming. Seeing all of the people there made my group and I want to help out in any way we could. We found out some of the items they needed. Canned food is a big item. The OPCC offers relief to people who have been on the streets for many years. They give out food to people who cannot get any themselves. When we saw their kitchen, we could tell it was low on food. Also, they had a closet where people could pick out clothes to wear. We could see that was close to empty too.

My science group is having a food drive starting Tuesday, March 13 and ending Friday March 16. We hope you can help us and the OPCC by donating canned goods and other non-perishable foods.
